General Society - Triennial Congress, Plymouth, Sept 2014 details & registration available online4/24/2014 Details of scheduled events are available and online (or paper) registration is being taken now for the triennial congress of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants, i.e. the national organization. It runs from about Friday, September 5 through Wednesday the 10th, depending on how much you want to do. (All of it is worthwhile.) The triennial includes 2 days of business meetings (Monday & Tuesday), a closing banquet Tuesday evening, social events on the grounds and in the town of Plymouth on Sunday, group tours in RI & MA Saturday - Wednesday, and meetings of some of the family associations Fri, Sat, & Mon. (Yes, some of these overlap so you can't do everything.) There are other local attractions you can go to on your own and lots and lots of archives to visit, some open on weekends. I attended in 2011 and it was definitely worth the time and money and nothing about the trip was pricey.
