Mayflower Faces has made it past the 100 mark, with the addition of a father & son Chilton (Oliver Ames & Frederick Lothrop Ames) and a White, William Wallace Crapo. Twenty-two of the 102 unique photographs are of women, not as bad a ratio as I had feared but certainly not 50%. It does not help that I am drawing from old sources, which were often centered on "The Distinguished Men of...." or "Notable Men of..." If anyone can recommend a public domain source heavy on pictures of women, let me know. Weebly's statistics for the past month show peak visitation at about 24 unique users per day with 49 page hits, so the average visitor is checking out one or two Mayflower descendants. It is also heartening that while the first 50 descendants took about 2 1/2 months to find, the second fifty took about 6 weeks. New goal: 200 by 2013!
