About Mayflower Faces
Mayflower Faces was created in August 2012 as the project of a research historian who wanted to create a website to fulfill her interest in genealogy and maybe find a few forensic clues as to what the Plymouth Pilgrims actually looked like. A Massachusetts native from a long line of "Damn Yankees," she often asked as a child whether she had any ancestors on the Mayflower and eventually went on to "prove" eight different Pilgrims (and still looking.) As a professional historian and a member of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants, she also felt a duty to share her data and her advice on how to find your Pilgrim ancestors. So, with the help of her son/web co-administrator, she created Mayflower Faces.
